OUR BEACH WEDDING PLANNING WEEK, DAY 2

While we're down here in Florida, Brian and I are working on all the details with out wedding ceremony and reception venue, The Jupiter Beach Resort. On Sunday night we attended our tasting and selected all of the passed Hors D'Oeuvres:

Tuna Sashimi
Beef Carpaccio
Grilled Watermelon with Blue Cheese
Crispy Duck Wonton with Citrus Chili Sauce
Miniature Cuban Panini

with two stations: cheese assortment and vegetables with hummus

followed by a seated dinner with:

Pasta
Salad
Entree which will be beef, chicken, or fish
Wedding Cake!

We selected our wines and champagne and are debating on whether to have a signature drink.

Here are some photos of the venue

this is where our ceremony will be which is my favorite part of the Jupiter Beach Resort, how pretty and intimate is it!?

We chose our flowers and are going with Simply Flowers out of Palm Beach Gardens. I don't want to give away too much but here are some of the pretties:

Annnnd that's about it for now. We need to find someone to officiate the ceremony still. We had someone but his price is so high it's ridiculous, so we're going to see if we can find someone a little less.

I also need to find ceremony music and the instrument I want is apparently not so commonly played which is proving very difficult. I could go with an ipod but I feel like you need live music for the ceremony, right?

Ok enough blabbing, time to get working!! I mean shopping, we're off to the Palm Beach Gardens mall to find my wedding shoes -!!!!!- and party dresses :)

One last image to make you laugh...
I'm sorry but who does that????

  8. Oohhh, I was so excited for you to see these photos of Jupiter Beach Resort... it is beautiful. I live about 15-20 mins from the Resort... If you still need a pastor, or live music email me and I will try to help you. I know a few pastors in the area who could probably do your wedding ceremony, and they are not expensive...and they have done weddings in private estates before. I also know a pastor who is also a musician- writes his own music and even has a couple cds. Depending on the instrument you are looking for, I also may know some other musicians... and, I also know a photographer who does alot of beach weddings... I am sure you already have all that settled by now, though. You picked a great location! Congrats! Enjoy the area while you are here... sorry you are getting the rain and humidity... but we soooo needed it!..(love the flowers!)
