Shop Tour Part Two: The Drawing Room

Moving right along to our next Fairfield County Home destination, The Drawing Room in Cos Cob (Greenwich), CT. One word: Fabulous. The husband and wife duo have got right with this spectacularly unique home decor shop and cafe/tea house eatery. It was a rainy day when mom and I went and it felt like walking into someone's fashionable chic living room and kitchen, such a good vibe given off by the friendly staff and uber chic design. I love everything and couldn't stop snapping away:

Now for the EATS!

I love the mis-matching chairs!

yes, we indulged just a bit!

our funny waitress!

How awesome is this establishment?

Shop Tour Part One - Greenwich

As I'm sure many of you know my ultimate goal is to open a home decor/gift boutique in my little town (or anywhere) and have design services offered as part of the shop.  Recently, my mom and I did some exploring to see what is currently offered in our area and what an abundance of creative and innovative shops did we discover here in Fairfield County - what inspiration! I'll start my tour with one of the great shops we visited in Greenwich, CT and will have to continue with the others in a later post, there is just too much fabulousness to cram into one entry~

First stop, Abigail Fox in Old Greenwich:

I love all the unique artisan work she features and the whole elegant, yet casual vibe she sets in the shop.

sidewalk sales!

Over the past weekend I was so excited to be a part of my town's annual summer sidewalk sales. As a new member of the Chamber of Commerce, I took advantage of the opportunity to display my work on the main drag of retail shops in town.

I was super duper pleased with my reception and sales and can not wait to do another show or event like this!

I thought to myself after the event, you know how people sarcastically say when they are not happy about having to do something, "No, I did it for my health (insert sarcasm)". I determined that I do Shorely Chic for my health - it makes me happy which in turn, makes me healthy :)

Photos below of the sales!

Gena Sigala

I just discovered stylist Gena Sigala and love the vibe her styles give off - cool, refreshing, chic, and a little different from the rest. Very California which I love, and all the photos just seem to set a nice relaxing mood and settings for the chicest of chic people.

Visit Gena's website for more of her awesome work!
