Viva Mexico!

I have always loved everything Mexican. From my first trip there as a fifth grader to Hualtulco, Club Med with mi familia I was hooked. I loved Club Med and our trips out of the resort to look at the landscape and experience the real culture. I remember the silver and turquoise everywhere, and the bold colors that covered everything from buildings to pottery.

I have been back numerous times, not to mention every college spring break to Cabo San Lucas and Acapulco. I love the people, the art, the colors, the weather, and especially the food! Everytime I walk into a mexican restaurant I admire the funky decor and vibrant colors and enjoy hearing the Mexican accent from the waitstaff, call me crazy.

I've compiled a few of my favorite images I found today while browsing through Mexican culture...First, Frida Kahlo, LOVE! I did my junior thesis on Frida and always kept her art on display...

so cool! I could go on and on but I won't bore you.
Next I went on Etsy to find some Mexican-inspired handmade goodies...

The above by Sandisshellscapes is my favorite hand-made piece on Etsy. It isn't labeled as Mexican but it 'shorely' reminds me of the culture.

how cool is this Frida shrine by Lachusma

Virgin de Gudalupe Pillow by Coconutty (cute name!)

Have an excellent Cinco de Mayo! B and I are having some family over for tacos and coronas :)
