Favorite Beach House from Something's Gotta Give

Something's Gotta Give is one of my favorite movies and the setting has every bit to do with it. The Hamptons and Montauk are two of my favorite destinations in the Northeast as the beaches are beautiful, shops are fabulous, restaurants delicious, and bars so-much-fun!

The gorgeous homes that make up the eastern tip of Long Island boast the high style of New York City but present themselves in a relaxed New England beachy manor. There isn't much more I could ask for in the design and dressings of a home.

The house and scenery in this movie fit the Hamptons look to a 'T', and the beautiful characters dancing about the various scenes make it wonderfully entertaining!

www.setdesigners.com is an awesome resource for checking out your favorite movie sets and it even features a listing of where many of the pieces came from - very cool!

which movie sets are your favorite?

  3. I'll take that dressing room, please :-)

Oh, and I love the Marie Antoninette movie sets. Apparently Sofia Coppola asked her designer to base them on Laduree macaroons!
