I love stripes! Have them in two of my hallways (used wallpaper), in my son's room below the chair railing, in the custom made window treatments for our dining room and living room. Stripes can used in so many ways to truly create very distinct looks in each space.
I love stripes too. I have a couple Pottery Barn blue and white pillows, a cute Dash and Albert rug and some ticking stripe curtains in my bedroom. I would love to add more! By the way, I love the picture of the striped present with the starfish on top!
There is something nautical and relaxing about stripes. Makes me think of the sea, holidays and fun. My last chair makeover I reupholstered a carver chair I painted white with a blue/white stripe cotton. It says elegant, beach, relaxed, all at the same time. :)
Stripes are so happy! I love them on my navy and white sailor shirts...but I don't have a lot in my home. Not sure why....I had not thought about it until your post.
It does remind me of the DIY project on the Nate Berkus Show the day we all went!!!
Love it! I can't wait until we find/buy a house, so I can paint one wall with neutral stripes! :)

ReplyDeleteNavy blue and white a household and wardrobe staple and I like the faded looking pale aqua, light blue and pink wide with white too.
