Julie and Julia and Me

Have you seen Julie & Julia? I'm actually watching it now and can I say how much I love this movie? I feel like I am Julie and Julia here in my little apartment in Darien, CT chasing after my dream to be a home decor maker/interior decorator - Shorely Chic! I must admit, I haven't felt so inspired to write lately being so busy with the holidays and such, but I think seeing this has cured me! It's really cool to write down your thoughts and feelings, and have people you don't even know read them! It's like being a published writer with little to no credentials required!

Last night, I sold a bamboo mirror to a woman who lives in Rowayton, a little beach town right next door (the town where I dream of opening my boutique). Anyway, I'm excited, she ordered it off Etsy and is coming to pick it up on Friday, since shipping would be a waste. I think it will be really neat to sell a piece to a local, you know, someone not from a craft fair or friend of a friend :) I hope she likes my apartment, and the mirror!

I'm still watching the movie, and writing in between... Meryl Streep does an amazing job in this movie! Julie's husband is so cute, too, how he supports and encourages her madness, kind of like Brian :)

I'm going to finish the movie now, then hit the sheets, I just wanted to get something written and boy does it feel good!

miss you :) Liz

More soon...

  5. Maybe the mirror buyer will just have to have something else from your collections!
