Isola Bella and Delicious Dinny!

Hey guys! My friend Gina at Isola Bella Shop featured me in her blog today! She is based out of the gorgeous Virgin Islands and is incredibly talented. I am in love with all her hand-made items and I am pretty confident if you like the beach you will too! Be sure to check her post .

So after work today I went to the mall to finish my Christmas shopping and didn't get home until about 7:30. Normally, Brian would whip something up or I would pick up something like soup from the market, but I have been wanting to learn how to make simple dinners so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I made this really simple dinner with stuff I had around the house which I never seem able to do. There are some things I believe you need to always have on hand like dry pasta, olive oil, fresh garlic, spices, and frozen meats and veggies.  These are a must in our house.

First, I boiled water with salt in a large pot for the pasta.
Second, I sautéed the garlic in olive oil.
Third, threw frozen spinach into the olive oil and added sea salt.
Added the pasta to the boiling water
Added the cooked pasta (al dente always) to a bowl and poured the spinach mixture on top with extra oil added at then end.
Mixed it all together and topped with Feta cheese and crushed red pepper.

It was so so good!!! Try it :)

Nighty and Happy Holidays!

  2. Hi there,
I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Terri from ladolfina.blogspot.com. I really like your blog and feel a kinship with you! I also am an inveterate treasure hunter like you and just opened an etsy shop as well! I loved your story about the woman who bought your bamboo mirror. What a cool experience! How did she like your house? Who knows...you might be featured in an issue of Lonny one day soon!
Have a Merry Christmas and come by for visit sometime soon :)
