Last night as I was laying in bed I was picturing my life in a few years and hoping for this:
A sweet little house in a neighborhood by the water, meticulously maintained and charming as heck. Brian will be my husband and maybe the talk of children will be starting. Shorely Chic will have taken off and I'll have clients knocking down my door for design services. I'll have a totally chic'ed out office off the side of the house where my clients will come for consultations and meetings. A few blocks away will be my boutique where I can either ride my aqua beach cruiser to or drive my aqua Vespa. There will be local highschool and maybe college students manning the shop and I'll frequently pop in to pick out accessories for my clients and mingle with my customers.
Here are some photos of lovely offices I got some inspiration from:
I see my life as fulfilling dreams and goals all while enjoying what I'm doing each day. Love your dreams!
ReplyDeleteHow I see my life in a few years- Collecting shells around the world then sharing the best shelling sites by blogging! I NEED those simple, clean-line, white display cabinets for my seashell collections and books.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to have such a clear vision! I see myself in a wonderful small(er) cottage, totally private, with distant water views either on Long Island, down South or Northern CA..., flipping houses with my husband, and (still) blogging.
ReplyDeleteI'm a firm believer in "if you can dream it, you can achieve it". I'm working on my 2011 visual goal poster - and think that I will add that gorgeous pink modern classic styled office (5th from the top) to it.
ReplyDeleteI love your vision!! I am in a "time to define my life" moment right now...empowering isn't it?!?
ReplyDeleteLiving in Jamaica with my husband on a hill overlooking the Caribbean Ocean and still creating and making my bags.
ReplyDeleteLove these offices... as another girl in her early to mid twenties.. I share many of your aspirations! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMake sure you get all those clear goals onto a dream board to look at each morning - it really helps.
ReplyDeleteA yellow cottage overlooking the ocean or bay; which has a large covered porch will find me enjoying breezes in my rocking chair in a few years ~ I'll spend my days blogging about fabulous beach finds and evenings will find me in my art studio painting scenes found in the nature which surrounds me.
Your blog is looking fabulous - of course, love your etsy creations too!
Have a beachy week :O)

I have no doubt this will happen for you! much love lizzy xoxo!
ReplyDeleteLove your dreams! I'd love a holiday house by the beach, happy and healthy family, good friends and fulfilling work. It's good sometimes to revisit your dreams, just to make sure you're still on the right track. Oh, and that first pic is the inspiration behind my daughter's bedroom makeover! K xx
ReplyDeleteOh how fun!! My dream would be to have another child so our son could have a sibling!! And, one day I'd like to quit my part-time job and really try my hand at decorating/interior design.
ReplyDeleteit's so fun to dream, i have been doing that a lot lately! i think i could get a few things done in that first office :)
ReplyDeleteoh wow that first pic is my dream xxxx
ReplyDeleteThat last image is so amazing...the nailheads on the board are gorgeous! Not to mention that chic library ladder, great dreams, great post!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement :) I definitely look for pretty pics like ALL day long! You are doing such a great job following what you love. I hope you get where want to be! I would like to be in my same house with my husband and hopefully have at least 1 baby (praying hard for that!) I would love to have a side business helping people decorate on a dime. But we will see!
ReplyDeleteHope all your dreams can come through, just believe in them!
ReplyDeleteLove daydreaming...same house, with some nice upgrades...beautiful yard...I could go on and on. Added your blog, thanks for following!
ReplyDeleteI hope those fabulous dreams of yours come true!
ReplyDeleteSeems totally reasonable to me! Since I have a book addiction and slight paper problem, I need lots of shelves and files - so the last two would fit my bill. My office is actually the first room in my house on my redo list!
