OUR HONEYMOON

Hi everyone, I've missed you so much! Brian and I just got back from our honeymoon in Maui and believe it or not it is snowing in Connecticut! Not the most pleasant, shorely chic welcome home, but it was great to see family and friends again and recap all the greatness of our wedding.

I am DYING of excitement to show you all the photos from our wedding but rather than sharing those that all our guests took, I really want to wait until the professional ones come in. Our photographer, Kat Braman, was amazing and I know hers will be worth the wait for both of us!

So in the meantime I'm sharing some of our honeymoon :) I posted a bunch and I apologize in advance if they begin bore you but I'm just still floating up on cloud 9 and don't really know what else to talk about!!

We were ecstatic to be upgraded to first class from Miami to Hawaii. One of our guests, Brian's close friend from his home town in Syracuse gave us his points as a wedding gift - OMG first class...

We stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea, it was absolutely perfect in every way.

I am always so inspired by the churches in other cultures, we came across this gem in Hana and it just warmed my heart to go inside and say a prayer with Brian

We hiked, and hiked, and hiked to get up here, but the view of this massive waterfall was worth it.

We loved Hawaii and I miss it so so much. The land, the people, the water, the culture are all so beautiful - what a gem we have on our earth and I am so blessed to have been able to see it with my new husband :)

Thanks for letting me share my photos with you, wedding coming next week!

WEDDING

Hi Ya'll, popping in for a quick hello and wedding update! This week is crunch time as I am leaving Connecticut on Sunday for our Florida wedding which will take place next Saturday, October 15th!! I am BEYOND excited and have been pulling together all the small details like placecards, rehearsal dinner decor, welcome party details, photographer timeline, menus, placecards, ahh and the list goes on - I'm getting stressed just typing it out because there is still so much left to do.

Some really cute things I want to share with you are my recent Etsy purchases :)

I can not resist this cute thing and think it will look so cute draped over our chairs, and at the ceremony :)
I am buying this from Sweet Peas and Seashells who has the sweetest, most darling beach inspired wedding and other decor on Etsy - check her out!

Have you ever been to Beach House Living on Etsy? Rita is a fellow blogger, Etsy shop owner and beach lover who makes the original hand-stamped silverware. She is so talented with her unique designs and is always coming out with new designs! I am such a detail person and having these special forks and knives for our wedding beings me so much happines, Brian and I will cherish them on our wedding night, and for anniversaries to come. Thank you, Rita!

At the last minute I thought of my friend Kimberly from beach chik designs on Etsy. I met Kim when I first started Shorely Chic. I convo'd her on Etsy and let her know what a fan I was of her shop and if she had any advice for a newbie seller. I'll never forget the most inspiring response I got back from her, encouraging me to pursue my dreams and offering so much of her "know-how". It blew me away how open Kim was with me, and really opened my eyes to the goodness of people I would meet from starting this little venture. Kim is one of the best, and certainly one of those people who makes this world a better place, one beach-inspired design at a time :) Thank you, Kim for these awesome bags!!!

Also, we had this vintage inspired surfboard made for our guests to sign as an alternative to a guestbook, cool isn't it??

It's from HAOLESREGRET

Now, last week I had written a post on my wedding regimen that I would try and follow to look and feel my best for our wedding day. I am happy to say I have pretty much stuck to it, minus a little french fry stolen off of Brian's plate here and there and it is paying off!!

I've been going to the gym lightly, 3x/week for a little cardio and weight training. I have seen a different, not a big one but a good one that I can recognize and that makes me very happy. I have eaten lots of fruits and veggies, and have cut out processed foods for the most part. Breakfast has been fruit, and lunch has been grapefruit with cottage cheese. Snacks = fruit and veggies. Dinner has been pretty normal and no sweets :(

Also, my skin is better than it's ever been, in my life! I started using Clinque's Acne Solutions three-step program religiously and it works people! No, they are not paying me but honestly I have gotten rid of every last blemish on my face and it is so smooth and soft. I HIGHLY recommend giving it a try.
I'm sure cutting out processed foods has helped, too but this stuff is amazing. I also use the oil-free moisturizing gel during the day, and...you guessed it amazing!

Ok that's all I got for now, going back to ridiculous amounts of wedding planning :)!!!

Jennifer Lopez's Hamptons House

I recently saw these photos posted on Hooked on Houses and I couldn't help but wonder how amazing it would be to be the decorater and give this house the lovin' it deserves!

dreamy, isn't it?
