When we think of Christmas we think of snow, hot chocolate, and chill in the air. This time of year is probably the only time I don't mind being cold however, I do still like to reminded of the beach and living on the water during the winter is extra special in these parts because when the beach is covered in snow, it is so pretty and still provides us with that calming sense of vastness...
I found these photos below and thought how perfectly they melded the Christmas spirit with the beach:
a starfish tree with mostly neutrals is very shorely chic, don't you think?
a beautiful topiary in a rustic bucket filled with starfish, so pretty
in LOVE with these
sea urchin tree!
these shells make such a pretty garland

I've been using a sea theme in my christmas decor for 4 yrs now. Don't think I can ever go back now. I was inspired by a trip to Monterey about 10 yrs. ago...we stayed at the Embassy Suites which had a huge tree in the garden courtyard that was decorated only in white starfish. It was so beautiful in simplicity.
