Hello my lovelies! I can't believe it's been so long since I've updated poor Shorely Chic :( Things have just been so busy with the pregnancy, work, and moving in two weeks (!!) but please know I will be back in full swing soon and I can't wait!
Last weekend was my baby shower and I couldn't resist sharing a few photos. It was a home shower which I love and my mom and I planned it with a nautical theme, of course. This baby is so beached out -- hopefully he likes the sand and sea, though we all know he really doesn't have a choice :)
We rented tables and chairs from a local vendor and strung paper lanterns from luna bazaar from the awning above. The centerpieces came out super cute and were so easy. We used vintage blue mason jars tied with striped grosgrain ribbon and filled them with blue and white hydrangeas. I used the rattan charges from IKEA underneath to add a little something...
I made the table numbers and placed them in IKEA frames
Thank goodness we had these palm fans left over from our wedding! The temperature was above 90 that day and everyone was appreciative to have a little personal fan.
For favors we tied up bags of life-savers and secured them with the gingham and anchor paper folds.
The drinks were so yummy, recipes to follow...

My mom made this book basket out of our family old bassinet (my mom used it as did my brother and I!)
The whole day was amazing and I feel so truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends to share this exciting time with. Baby Joy is more than set with all his new goodies and we can't wait to try them all out with him!!
Here's me a few days ago at 35 weeks:
and here is what I am up to at night these days post-shower :)
I'll check in soon y'all! 36 weeks tomorrow, woohee!
