I've made some more decisions but need your help with one! I'm deciding between these two place cards ideas, which do you prefer?
A is definitely more fun and casual while B is more elegant. I can't resist the cuteness of A, and the understated elegance of B. Help!
Also, I've found the necklace I will wear on my wedding day and it is from one of my great friends, Suzanne Somersall whose jewelry line I am so privileged to carry in my shop!
So what do you think?
UPDATE: Brian just told me he likes B, more elegant, in his words, "it's not a Hawaiian Shirt beachy party, its a wedding". Point well taken, so how about the chairs for the rehearsal dinner?!
I'm a fan of B--as cute as A is, I think B is more practical and a better takeaway ;) love these wedding decisions! I miss making my own. That necklace is gorgeous, by the way! Have a great weekend! xoxo {av}
ReplyDeleteI LOVE them both! I wish I thought of such cute ideas when I got married. I would lean towards B, especially if the wedding is more formal. Maybe find a way to use A for the rehearsal dinner or bachelorette party!

I'm loving B. A would be fun for an engagement party I think :)
ReplyDeletei love B but A could be really cute if you found some "classier" umbrellas, or you could even make them yourself if you found a thick, fancy paper stock you liked by cutting circles and making a slit going to the middle then folding in to the umbrella shape. check out these ones:

if you found paper in your color scheme these could actually be really cute.
I was thinking that A would be perfect for the rehearsal dinner I have to host...in April. B is simple, elegant, yet casually chic. I would choose that for the wedding. Can't wait to see what you are doing for your tables...

Like everyone above, for the wedding I would choose B. More understated. The a version could be fun for the rehearsal but I agree with Jacin. I am thinking if you got all the umbrellas in one color, maybe a print that matches the lounger, it could be uber cool.
ReplyDeleteLove the necklace.
So much fun to be playing decorate for your own wedding.

Brian took the words right out of my mouth! Definitely B!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Brian and jamie - most definitely B!
ReplyDeleteI also like B. Definitely use A for something more formal... it is too cute to miss out on!
ReplyDeleteI would go with B - definitely more elegant. Choice A would have been perfect for an engagement party. Both are very cute ideas though!

Definately B for a stylish coastal wedding. The best piece of advice I was given was from my amazing photographer. At the end of the day the most precious item you'll have is your photo's to look back on. So by getting the detail right (and having a brilliant photographer) you'll have the most amazing album to treasure - that will be timeless (as is coastal style), to look back on in years to come. Also, consider some photo shots that are more reportage - they capture the day so amazingly well - including all the little details your considering now, even moments you missed, you'll discover afterwards. I briefed my photographer that I didn't really want to see him most of the day - except for the posed family shots. Do you know I have an amazing wedding album, that even after 8 yrs people still say wow - I'll have to post some of it on my blog for you to have a look at! Check out my blog for some more coastal inspired wedding items and go online and look at Pacific Weddings magazine - some fantatsic ideas here - good luck, it is exciting planning a wedding like this.
ReplyDeleteB! It is understated, simple , elegant and in keeping with a coastal wedding. (A) is great for a bridal shower or rehersal dinner. The necklace is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI agree with B as the best choice. I think A is definitely fun, maybe use for a birthday or some other celebration? How exciting?!!
ReplyDeleteB all the way! especially after seeing that necklace - elegant shore chic perfection. so exciting!
ReplyDeleteI like A but, B just hits the spot (especially after I saw your necklace). So, B it is.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I love B! Very classy! A would be great for rehearsal dinner if you it was more casual.
ReplyDeleteI say B all the way! It has the beach element but doesn't scream Hawaiian shirt like Brian mentioned!
