**UPDATE** Look what I won on Ebay yesterday!
$20 - yeehee!!
I first noticed framed swim and beachwear in the post I wrote on Amanda Nisbet, Color Me Coastal. I loved the idea and today I am determinted to find the perfect vintage swimsuit or romper to have framed. Maybe I'll keep it, or maybe I'll make a bunch and sell them in the shop :)
here Amanda framed a vintage romper, just as cute!

I love this quirky idea too. Really, I love anything unusual framed like this.
love these! and would love to have a couple but they are just too expensive. I am always on the look out at thrift shops and antique places but have not found anything yet.
ReplyDeleteI've framed a vintage '20s swimsuit and hung in the stairwell of our beach house on Tybee Island. And I also buy them off eBay--prices are lower in the winter--have bought them for as low as $25. I sell them both framed and unframed in my antique booth at Seaside Sisters on Tybee. The shadowbox framing is what gets really expensive. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm on a hunt for the exact same thing!! great minds... :)
ReplyDeleteI have framed my husbands Merimekko smimsuit shorts from when he was little, along with my little bathing suit from when I was little. Not as vintage as these, but still cute!
ReplyDeleteMary Kay, I just scored one off ebay for $20, woohoo! Wish I could get to Tybee to see what you have in stock...
ReplyDeleteHaus and Home, the swim shorts idea is adorable!

ReplyDeleteI love that beautiful collection by Pottery Barn ...just perfect for my beach house!
