2011 - YEAH

How exciting to start a new year! To have the opportunity to motivate yourself and BEGIN ... it's a gift this New Year, a chance to start new chapter, an opportunity to give failed attempts a second try, time to reinvent your ideas and make them happen this time, come up with new ideas and try them out, step out of your 2010 skin and start building your 2011 self.

I'm so excited I can't even stand it.

If you will, here are my 2011 resolutions:

1. Become a really good housewife - I want to learn to cook, and do better laundry, and mature my home from the boyfriend/girlfriend 'pad' to the husband and wife HOME because this year I will become Brian's wife!

2. Be the best daughter, sister, and friend I can be

3. Focus on growing and evolving Shorely Chic working backwards from the BIG DREAM, the ultimate BIG PICTURE

4. Take so much pride in each task I take on, this includes the very mundane items that come my way like the laundry as mentioned above, day job duties, keeping my car clean, etc...
5. Plan an amazing wedding with my loving support system!

6. Buy a new camera and become awesome with my photography

7. Stop making so many plans (socially) and save a few days and nights to relax and just be with me (and B)

And for the boring:

6. go the gym and get into really good shape!
 7. stop spending money like it grows on trees and save some $$

OK - how about you?? What is your biggest goal for 2011?

  1. Love your goals! I want to be a better friend, be a morning person and do more of what I love. Learning to become a better housewife is SO much fun. I'm amazed at the progress I've made in my first year of marriage! I would definitely suggest Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook. It's not a cover to cover read, but an amazing reference book! She tells you how to wash every type of pot, how to properly make beds and how to get out stains. It really is AMAZING! Good luck and happy 2011!

  3. Your comment about cooking made me smile. I am a dire hard chef (well, a good cook!) and I love making meals for my husband (who is an enthusiastic audience) and my children. It feels good to create art with food! I have lots of recipes if you are interested. All the best for a super wonderful year. Enjoy the journey...being engaged and planning is a fun time in your relationship, so enjoy every step.
