So tonight, as my mom and I were messily and tirelessly working away in the basement of the house I grew up in, I decided to take some photos so that people could see what Shorely Chic is really like behind all the pretty pieces :) It truly is so much fun working with mi madre, and on my own, but it isn't always pretty.
We have our first in-person sales type of event this Friday night at a benefit in Connecticut and we are being featured as one of the home decor vendors - I am BEYOND excited to showcase all of my work in person! Here we are getting prepared, and please excuse the horrible photography - these were taken in a basement and unless I am in natural light with pretty scenery, I am pretty terrible at taking pictures :(
Shorely Chic's first gift basket with all of the contents written on the front - Wine and Cheese Theme
Looking down from the stairs at an assortment of items!
This is how I ended up tagging many of the items, I'm not crazy about it but it was the quickest
There's mi madre in my dad's workshop, slowly but 'shorely' turning into her studio :)
Gotta have a little fun!!
my form of note-taking
We're going to be selling imported soaps, wrapped and tied with raffia and a shell :)

LOVE this piece. I found it without the mirror and knobs at a flea market painted red. I brought it home, had it painted, bought a mirror for the opening, and ordered antique brass doorknobs as the hangers - do you like it???
SO there you have it - that's what Shorely Chic is like on a nightly basis - lots of hard work but so so worth it!!
Nighty, I'm a tired girl...
love the last piece! its tdf!
